This week’s let’s talk about my favorite time of the year, Spring!

This time of the year, we open our windows, go through and wash all the curtains, beat our cushions, shake out the rugs, and at my house we plant flowers and sometimes a small garden.

This year my daughter decided on which flowers we were going to plant, which is a good thing since the ones I ordered are lost in the mail somewhere… When the tracking number says in transit to the next facility for over a month… yup it’s lost.

Which reminds me of something recent, lost emails and missed posts. Have you done a test on your email accounts lately? Were you smart and made a central hub or only created a couple of them? Or were you like those of us who started over a decade ago and made one for each little thing… Okay I didn’t make that many but I did (coughs do) have one for my personal email, junk email (signing up when you really don’t wanna), business email, company domain emails, device setup emails … and let’s not forget the lovely Skype to Team merger this week, which informed me that my Skype was attached to an email I had not used in at least 5 years or more… I signed in using my Skype name…

So, when they offered to transfer everything from Skype into Teams … yay good for them … However, I already had a team’s account and well now I have TWO (bangs head on desk)! Kind of like when I created a Facebook account and well back then it was all in one… then it went to business / personal accounts and well now, yup it can get cluttered.

So, what is one to do when they are anxious to go play in the dirt but have all of these different emails, accounts and clutter to deal with??? Spring Cleaning (well online)!

If you have more than one email, consider sending as copy of all your emails into one main hub. Then set a reminder once a month to log into those other accounts… I didn’t and lost my alternate and established YouTube channel. (smacks forehead) You can use a program on your computer to view the different emails in one location but remember never save those emails or IMAP them to your device only. If you have to reset, buy, or just lose the device, you can and probably will lose all those emails, especially if you are using a Domain Name email without a backup or plan.

Oh, here’s the tip for Spring Marketing!

Spring, just like any other season has its own marketing niches and if you are not planning around them then you are missing out on some major opportunities. (Notice what is being advertised on TV, in Newspapers, over the Radio, they are all SPRING focused.) The big advertising agencies know that people are feeling the urge to get outside and beat the ‘cabin fever’ blues and you can either ride along the marketing trail or fight to stay where you are.
